So, I promised I would try the tin can tea light holder thing over the weekend. I had a go last night, but to be honest, I think my freehand skills leave a lot to be desired.
I would recommend either creating your own SYMMETRICAL design, or finding one online, like a dot to dot and using that.
My freehand wasn't a total disaster, it worked, it just did not look right. IT NEEDS TO BE SYMMETRICAL!
Also, when hitting my can with my hammer and nail, I found that chips of ice were flicking out everywhere! I think you should either clingfilm the top, or wrap in an old towel, that you don't mind getting trashed!
Unfortunately, as I was late up this morning, I didn't get time to photograph the can in it's current state. At the moment, it is still unpainted. When I get home from work, I will be taking some photos and I will email them in, so please excuse the format.
On another note, I start my new job tomorrow, so the posts may reduce slightly.
